Brian Kim, MD

Brian is a fourth-year general surgery resident at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He was born and raised in South Korea before moving to Washington State during middle school. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Washington and his medical degree from the Washington State University Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine. 

During his residency research year, Brian completed the Surgical Simulation Fellowship at the University of Washington. He plans to pursue fellowship training in colorectal surgery, and his academic interests include surgical education, simulation-based training, and quality improvement.
