The Center for Research in Education and Simulation Technologies (CREST) combines expertise in engineering research, computer science, robotics, graphic art, material science, chemistry, sculpting, molding, and 3D printing, CREST aims to advance the field of healthcare simulation sciences through the development of highly engineered, ultra–realistic models, virtual environments, and validated curriculum and assessment tools.

Under the direction of Dr. Sweet, the CREST team (pictured) includes Dan Burke (Graphic Artist), David Hananel (Director, CREST Lab), and Jason Speich (Simulation Artist), all of whom joined the UW from the program’s original home at University of Minnesota.
