Additional Findings

Normal vessels in both high and low attenuation areas, no expiratory images. Addtionally, there is so much high attentuation that it seems more likely that there is some (substantial) inflitrative disease. Also pleural effusions present.


DDX

There is a long list of causes of ground glass opacities; Ask yourself acute vs subacute/chronic? And overall can split into water, cells/pus, blood, and/or protein. Specific etiologies include: ACUTE: edema, infections (PJP, viruses, opportunistic infections), hemorrhage, ARDS, HP, aspiration. CHRONIC: edema, recurrent hemorrhage, HP, RBILD, sarcoid, NSIP, DIP, aspiration, organizing pneumonia, PAP.

Acute Interstitial Pneumonia.
